We are who we are. it's a popular song... but if you knew us... if we ever escaped our cells- if we crack open this shell- will you welcome us into your society? Would you find beds for us, parents, homes, lovers? No. You wouldn't. That's why you tucked us neatly away. You tucked us into this little white box of insanity. The thing is... it's only white on the outside. On the inside it's a myriad of colors. Of personalities. This place... it's made -on the inside- from the personalities they -you?- try to contain because those personalities destroy order. We are those personalities. You lock us away. We don't blame you, because we destroy normality. We kill or maim or hide in corners and scream or sleep all day or don't sleep at all. We have sex too much or are afraid to be touched or like to do the touching or sleep upside-down or think we're a tiger, lion, shark, you name it. And we are trying to get out. We taste freedom when our cell doors open and are getting closer to keeping them open. Or worse- shutting you inside with us. If you're one of us, come to us. If you're not- why not visit us? Or take care of us. We can't bite. We're behind bars- behind doors. Out of sight and neatly tucked away just waiting for the opportune moment...
